Anglo-Norman was from Normandy in northern France. They came to England after defeating the Saxons king Harold Godwinson. they were fearless, bold and wild people. The English were a mixture of Anglo-Saxons, Celts, Danes and Normans. Anglo-Saxons gradually merged with Norman French to form a language called "Middle English" (Chaucer, etc.), and it evolved into modern English. Anglo-Saxons were fighter people or we can say warriors who wanted to live with their fighting skills and to make it their strength.
