Single national curriculum

The single national curriculum is a campaign led by prime ministry Imran khan. This curriculum is designed in such a way that it would be one curriculum for one nation as a slogan of this campaign and also in terms of educational perspective, teacher input, student learning output and the rest that is necessarily important for any kind of educational set up.

This bold step is taken by our government which is a great initiative to stop or to root out the rising complexes in form of language or we can simply say a medium in public, private or madrassah system of education. this is the age of technology and the learning should be up to mark. for this many teaching, learning methodologies are taking their place.

Basically, we have three kinds of educational approaches in form of educational organization’s set up of these three different schools. So to make it up to date and worthy for its beneficiaries for all students whether they belong to any social class this curriculum has been designed.

This will emerge the tendencies of every student into one notion and to feel free while having their feet into the professional life.

 we make a discussion about what this single national curriculum appeals to or what is the objective of this curriculum design?

·         The educational institutions having one curriculum, one system of education for all will ensure the fair and equal chance of receiving a high-quality education.

·         National integrity and social cohesion

·         Equity in education

·         Holistic upbringing

Key considerations

·         Teaching of Quran and sunnah

·         Follow the footsteps of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

·         Understand the vision of Iqbal

·         Root out rote learning

·         Islamic education is mandatory

·         Respect for culture and social norms

·         to develop the creative thinking and analytical approach

·         having up to date systematic education for all

·         English language will be taught as a language, not as subject

·         Outcome-based learning

·         Technology based activities

Keeping all these points in notice one is of the view that it is a great step towards the betterment of the educational system under a higher authority’s visionary mind.

Once this plan was executed it is developed with a proper plan to implement in phases from class one to onwards the higher secondary level. To some extent this plan for new enhancement in educational set up is good.

For this newly set up curriculum teacher trainings has become mandatory. The government is launching a teacher training program to promote quality education to the students.

Through this single national curriculum, the schools will cohesively work under one educational setup.

It will promote quality education and root out rote learning. Creative learning and quality enhancement in education will be focused on. The biased and prejudiced perception of the English& Urdu barrier will be diminished. This kind of system will encourage not only confidence but also a well-settled citizen with respect for its cultural, social and language integrity.

To sum up this discussion we may say that this single national curriculum aims to embody the rigour and high standards to create coherence that what is taught in schools. This will also ensure the quality of education that all the children’s are taught the essential knowledge with the key subject disciplines.
