What is oral literature and types?

Oral literature

Oral literature is an art like other performed arts which takes spoken words for communication. Literature defines society and all the essentials presiding it.

Oral literature remained an important part of the decade and decade ago when it was a customary tradition that sharing was on a language basis due to illiteracy. This type of literature might possibly be present in some countries now. Like in Africa, Africa is rich in oral traditions. They not only make people stand out for their literature but also pay homage. Africa feels the pride of its heritage. They use to share their belongings through language.

Now many of us will raise the question that what does oral literature mean?

Oral literature means the literature which is spoken literature as opposed to the written literature and shared via language in every dialect of its region.

Background of oral literature

Pre-literate societies use to follow oral literature, every tradition, culture and custom was followed orally in form of narratives, storytelling like fables, fairy tales, songs, proverbs, advice, moral stories, folklore and folk dramas was performed lively. The pre-literate societies apparently have no literature but were rich in oral literature.

Storytelling is also a form of oral literature that starts from the mother’s lap.

Our ancestors used to tell moral stories which are also the form of oral literature. These stories have a cultural, moral and societal impact on the texture of words. Many of the stories have been added to the booking form. It morally presents the number of lessons that leads towards the sense of reason. The sense of reason imparts man to utilize the intellect properly within some specific condition. This also helps in mesmerizing things with the adhesive decision power. And now if we talk about the current running oral traditions in modern and upgraded societies after decades. We may have seen that the literate societies may constitute an oral tradition within our family in the form of bedtime storytelling and folklore. Our jokes, poetry especially slam poetry which has been televised feature of Russell Simmons’ Def poetry and performance poetry.

The types of oral literature

·        Songs

·        Oral narratives

·        Riddles

·        Stories(fables and fairy-tales)

·        Oral poetries

·        Myths

·        Tongue twisters

·        Folk tales

·        Folklore

Songs were sung and performed with poetical forms. In ancient times there was no sense of metrical structure people was free to perform and sing according to their wishes to fantasize, freely within the sung song. Oral narratives stand as the advice which every generation receives from their parents, fathers and from forefathers. Riddles tongue twisters can be taken as a game but at the same time, a message covered in words and uncovered by the right assumed answer. Fable stories can be taken as the myths on which they believed and prophesied. These are all the genre’s of literature and can rightly say as oral literature right now.

Folklore and customs are the assets of any nation whether it belongs to the past or present. It presents a social-cultural equilibrium to uphold the society whether it is in form of memorization or running time.

I feel they have no literacy if we talk about oral past literature they were free to compose and no need for an extra sufficient matrix for specialization. But history defines the maturity that we find in that literature that has been preserved and saved through the help and effort of different generations.

Importance of oral literature

It is the tool of sharing and teaching idea’s and notions to transcend them to other generations. Further it implicit the feelings and appreciation of life as well.

In the ancient time before 400 literature was oral for some time because of their illiteracy. People roam about with their spoken literature. This oral literature also takes creative and imaginative forms. It holds intellectuals, all literary experts and thinkers. Songs were orally performed. Dramas and stories were orally transmitted within the generation and for the coming generations.

Oral literature helps to transcend different genres, styles, nature and variety of exhibited material from generation to generation. The next generation finds the history with its peculiar events and shifts it towards others with their point of view. This is how they form their potential for reading, learning and grasping the texture of literature to formulating the essence within the time frame.

In simple words, oral literature exhibits outspoken people with a variety of talents. The time of oral literature was as open like a book on which every person can write what he aspires without any amendments. Their culture, traditions and reforms were open as they were masters and all in all in their power to navigate their society.

Literature is a mirror of life. In this oral literature mirror, every angle and aspect of literature is as transparent and appealing as the ice itself is or as the mirror itself is.

We do see the specific temperament of the society of that time in which the specific material was written it flourishes the personality, notions and experiences of the writer as well. In simple words, we feel the writer itself in its written text by reading where we keep connection with the written words, the storyteller and the reader. All these sentimental approaches make us travel to that certain time without any physical effort and fatigue.

Thanks to the written and oral literature which embeds the reader and the writer into one knot. In the long and long time ago when the written material was not followed and people use to sing, morn and share knowledge orally, the literature was forming itself in the form of cultural impact and equally generating the sort of literary balance that shifted to the next coming generation through one source or the other. This tone of literary balance proved as the way to form new trends and capacities with new people out of the ancestral intellectualism. Always remember one thing that every new is beholden of the old.

To sum up this discussion we can say that oral literature is designed to have listened in conversational mode. In this mode of discussion, the choice of words is more simple, representative and informal.

students problems of career selection

Choose a right career

It is a milestone task to choose the right career for the right person. This has been an emerging confusion of our society that most of us are confused about their innate and learned capacities by which they can take a healthy verdict to follow their career in the job field.

To avoid this problem many career counselling comities are doing the best of their works to prevent students from this hard feeling of choosing their careers to pursue. Parents and children’s have a very sharp connection first to identify this ambiguity and to sort out and to find the best one. In this regard parent’s firstly consults with the student’s teacher and then they prefer any other person to uphold the suggestive attitude. Because in our society there is a traditional undertaking of career selecting within the families that parents usually dream off for their kids to become a  doctor, engineer, pharmacist, pilot regardless of their abilities, interests and goals. This kind of forceful gesture creates problems in choosing the right career of their taste.

Keeping this pressure under view our educational institutions should be designed in this sense that they have a proper set up of student’s counselling system in which every teacher should report his or her class student performance so that the abilities of students might approve for a perfect career to select of his choice in which the student has grip, interest and command. well, on the other hand, I feel this is quite costly work to do but not so, to some extent as it requires a lot of time and money to spend on a priority basis.

Now, many of the schools are doing from the very start but those institutions which are not accepting this need should develop such a system in which students may feel free and enhance his or her abilities, by properly participating and sharing the knowledge with others as well. This participation will polish his or her skills and elevate his sense of learning. The teacher will also be able to find out the student’s gesture of grasping the things and involvement of interests.

Some major factors or challenges faced by students while choosing a career

Financial pressure, job uncertainty, fear of failure, non-conducive environment for polishing skills, not having proper training, improper self-assessments and choosing the field by other’s decisions.

All these challenges altogether contribute to several mistakes and difficulties to take a healthy decision and to pursue it wholeheartedly.

Organize yourself

The self-orientation in the form of maintenance equally in every aspect you find best for yourself despite switching from one job to another job. The prior precautions in job field selections may earn a wealthy future.

Financial plan

Every time circumstances may not favourite so save something for a rainy day. your planning for choosing the field is somehow based on your monetary conditions. But if you will take yourself smartly on every step you will find many new doors to open for grabs.

Know your job field

All the assessment and planning relies on the beneficiaries of your selected field. Know the details of your job market first whatever you are going to select for the job field. This will initially help you to sort out all negative vibes and if it is beneficial it will promise you a better future according to your taste.

Set your goals to achieve

The achievements are the announcements of your goals because victories fundamentally assume your point of view to undertaking .so the proper knowledge of the prestigious set up of goals and the internal knowledge of interests sharply follows you from the very first step of your get on .so be careful and choosy.

All these suggestive measures if, underpinned and followed the rest problem of choosing the career will be diminished.

Some important platforms that might help you to make the best decision for one’s career

To sum up this discussion we can say that literally, it can be a hard time of a student’s life that what to choose or not for further major career selection. But by following the above-mentioned markers it will become easier and satisfying too to choose and take better decisions for a career to opt for. The surrounding situations and circumstances wildly or mildly affect the chooser in the job field selection but a wiser and sharp decision can take away all hurdles and barriers coming in the way. non-financial and family pressure can harm you if you have a strong and focused notion for your future endeavours. Single national curriculum

Single national curriculum

The single national curriculum is a campaign led by prime ministry Imran khan. This curriculum is designed in such a way that it would be one curriculum for one nation as a slogan of this campaign and also in terms of educational perspective, teacher input, student learning output and the rest that is necessarily important for any kind of educational set up.

This bold step is taken by our government which is a great initiative to stop or to root out the rising complexes in form of language or we can simply say a medium in public, private or madrassah system of education. this is the age of technology and the learning should be up to mark. for this many teaching, learning methodologies are taking their place.

Basically, we have three kinds of educational approaches in form of educational organization’s set up of these three different schools. So to make it up to date and worthy for its beneficiaries for all students whether they belong to any social class this curriculum has been designed.

This will emerge the tendencies of every student into one notion and to feel free while having their feet into the professional life.

we make a discussion about what this single national curriculum appeals to or what is the objective of this curriculum design?

·         The educational institutions having one curriculum, one system of education for all will ensure the fair and equal chance of receiving a high-quality education.

·         National integrity and social cohesion

·         Equity in education

·         Holistic upbringing

Key considerations

·         Teaching of Quran and sunnah

·         Follow the footsteps of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

·         Understand the vision of Iqbal

·         Root out rote learning

·         Islamic education is mandatory

·         Respect for culture and social norms

·         to develop the creative thinking and analytical approach

·         having up to date systematic education for all

·         English language will be taught as a language, not as subject

·         Outcome-based learning

·         Technology based activities

Keeping all these points in notice one is of the view that it is a great step towards the betterment of the educational system under a higher authority’s visionary mind.

Once this plan was executed it is developed with a proper plan to implement in phases from class one to onwards the higher secondary level. To some extent this plan for new enhancement in educational set up is good.

For this newly set up curriculum teacher trainings has become mandatory. The government is launching a teacher training program to promote quality education to the students.

Through this single national curriculum, the schools will cohesively work under one educational setup.

It will promote quality education and root out rote learning. Creative learning and quality enhancement in education will be focused on. The biased and prejudiced perception of the English& Urdu barrier will be diminished. This kind of system will encourage not only confidence but also a well-settled citizen with respect for its cultural, social and language integrity.

To sum up this discussion we may say that this single national curriculum aims to embody the rigour and high standards to create coherence that what is taught in schools. This will also ensure the quality of education that all the children’s are taught the essential knowledge with the key subject disciplines.

Definition of curriculum/what is curriculum/importance of curriculum/purpose of curriculum in education/benefits of curriculum

Definition of curriculum/what is curriculum/importance of curriculum/purpose of curriculum in education/benefits of curriculum

First of all, what is need to be understood that is; what do we mean by curriculum?

Curriculum in simple words is the overall content, taught in any educational system or course. It also comprises a standard planned sequence of experiences where the guideline is given to the students and teachers that what is necessary to be taught and what to learn. This term refers to the lessons and content for the individuals in any educational organization of any state.

The curriculum helps educators to organize the course by planning lessons, assignments and other cohesive activities of educational concerns.

There is only one curriculum for all and it further divides it into the syllabus, textbooks and all educational stuff under the supervision of all provinces with the help of concerned authorities, keeping in view the cultural, regional, language impact and all other tendencies which surround the whole society.

Having all such considerations the curriculum defines itself into the smaller phases like the syllabus to elevate the educational set-up. By designing a curriculum the administration breaths good because it further simplifies the techniques and temperaments of teaching, learning, atmospheric conditions and the requirements that should be fulfilled under educational decorum’s.

Ages and Periods in English Literature

Ages and Periods in English Literature

Literature is much like fine arts like music, dance, sculpture, painting and so on. The basic purpose of literature is to give aesthetic pleasure through its historic implicitly and explicitly natural words with its beauty of artistic notions.

When we study the history of English literature from the earliest to modern times, we find that it has passed through certain definite phases, each having marked with its particular characteristics. These phases may be termed ages or periods. Which are named after certainly some central literary figures or famous rulers of England. like in English literature, the age of Shakespeare is known as Shakespeare’s age, Jacobean age, Elizabethan age, the age of Dryden, pope’s age the most famous and literary figure among all is the age of Chaucer’s that is embedded with its historical practices of writing. Furthermore, we have the age of Wordsworth, Johnson, Dryden, Milton, Tennyson and hardy as well.

We have the Jacobean period, the age of Queen Annette Georgian period and the Victorian age as well.

Some of the ages are named after some literary movements, as the;

Classical age

The romantic age

While others are named of some historical eras;

Medieval period

Anglo Saxon period

Anglo-Norman period

These literary phases are also named after some literary historians after the centuries like;

Seventeenth-century literature

Eighteenth-century literature

Nineteenth-century literature

Twentieth-century literature

To review it back the phases and periods both naturally overlap each other, and they are not strictly followed, but it is very important to keep them in mind to follow the various characteristics, features, the growth of English literature and especially its distinctions during the various periods of its developments.

To sum up this discussion we are evidence of the literary phenomenon that it takes several of its forms and faces to enhance its quality of being done by professional to stand as the representative of its owner, age, period and at the same time for its different historical movements.

The tea made from the hibiscus plant is caffeine-free and can be consumed for good health measures.

Well to conclude this we can say that with little care and effort this plant can be grown in any atmospheric condition except frost. Its small plants start giving flowers if maintained under brighter sun conditions and a proper dose of water. Overwatering is always harmful to any flowering plant because it can be the source of its buds shedding. At the same time it transfers leaves bright green into pale yellow and also sheds from its branches.

It looks in the tree and sometimes in bushy shrub form it depends on our carrying this plant into pruning technique whether we let the plant grow with its will or to tame it by proper pruning and planning of its shape and branches to grow with its full warmth.

Considering all these facts it all together leads us to grow a healthy plantation of hibiscus flowering plants and to divide it into different plants with its various techniques of size colour and shape.
